Here at Ron Spencer Cycles we are committed to maintaining the trust of our customers and visitors to our website.

With the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which is effective from 25th May 2018, we want to ensure that you fully understand the information we hold about you, the reasons we hold it and that is it safe and secure.

The information and data we hold:

We may you ask for your personal information, relating to sales, quotes, personal finance, cycle to work applications, competitions, organised events and information requests in store. We will store your details including your name, postal and billing addresses, email addresses and phone numbers, plus details of your purchases. We use this information to contact you about your quotation or purchase and will never keep your information longer than necessary. Order details will be kept on file indefinitely unless you specifically ask us to remove them. This is to ensure we can contact you should a warranty or recall issues arise. We do not hold any payment card information of any type. When you visit our store, you may be picked up on our CCTV which is used for security.

Our Website:

When you visit our website we may collect information about your online browsing behaviour and any devices you have used to access our website (including your IP address, browser type and mobile device identifiers) purely to use for our own marketing purposes. We use a third-party service to collect this information, Google Analytics. Visitors to our website are not identified in this data, purely numbers of visitors/traffic and behavioural data is processed We will contact you in response to communications that you have directed at us.

We want to be able to help you so we use personal data to provide clarification or assistance in response to your communications.

Our Social Media:

We use third-party Social Media platforms Facebook, Instagram & Twitter to promote our business, services, offers and news. Any public interactions made via social media platforms are visible to all. Any private/direct messages from customers via these social media platforms containing private information will not be shared with any other organisations.

We will only collect and use your personal information in accordance with EU data protection laws. We do not pass your information on to any other businesses or organisations. Our grounds for processing your personal information are as follows:
